The Somos Awards is an annual achievement ceremony that recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Hispanic Community of the Metropolitan DC Area.

This year marks the first edition of this very special award ceremony which has been supported tremendously by every sponsor company and nominee.  Our goal is to create creditable statistics as a point of reference for the entire Latin American Spanish-speaking community in the area.  With 16 different categories specific to business, athletes and professionals alike, this Conference & Awards Show extravaganza also features special showcase performances by popular international and local Latin artists.

The event is one of the highest budgeted productions within the Latin American Community of Northern VA.  The advertising campaign for the Somos Awards utilizes both community and mainstream media to reach over 700,000 people.

This prestigious award ceremony is organized on an exclusive invitation only basis.  The majority of invitations are distributed amongst members of the Somos Awards, which consists mainly of business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals of both the Latin American and American community.

In our the first year, the award ceremony committee is expecting to have 3500 guests.  The philosophy behind this event is to anticipate tremendous potential for growth for years to come.

We plan to expand audiences by incorporating the participation of communities from VA, DC, MD and will continue to feature performances by internationally recognized Latin performers and speakers.

Our Leadership Conference is an important gathering of Latin talents, executives, leaders, who come together to discuss the state of the Hispanic Business Legacy and leadership and debate hot button topics.
